I heard that Jr. was going to run the 1 on 1's on Tuesdays next year. Doesn't make sense - ??
And does anyone know when BAU has scheduled for their classic?

I hope you all have a great holiday and wish the best to you and yours. Very Happy

I'm not sure when the singles are going to be but I'll e-mail Jr. and find out whats up.

I was on the BAU webpage a couple days ago and saw that there were only tounaments scheduled on Muskegon Lake. Why only Muskegon? Maybe their schedule isn't finished yet? IDK

I haven't seen or heard anything about their Classic. Maybe Tcook knows since he's already qualified Laughing

I believe that BAU is still in the process of getting all there divisions set so they are not all posted. I do know they were trying to get a few more directors to add a couple more divisions. I fished with Eric Smith a month ago and he was saying BAU wanted him to start another central or northern division but he was undicided on that. So maybe they are trying to get the directors to commit, im not sure.
As for the classic im not sure why they have not released the date either, they must be undecided. At the last classic they announced that the top 3 teams in the 2008 classic get a free entry to the following year. They went on to say that they will likley give the top 3 teams from leelanau a free entry to the 2008 classic as well, but that was not set in stone. So who knows we might have to fish the two qualifing events if they dont come through on that.

I found out from Jr that the Single events are on Tuesday nights 6-9. They will be held on Lake of the Woods, Buchanon (St. Joe River), and Magician Lake. There will be two in early June and one a little later.

I like the new schedule because it keeps the weekends free, and all the lakes are pretty close for me.

As far as the BAU goes, they should get a lot of things set in stone. It's pretty tough to find someone who fished their stuff that doesn't say that. But it does seem to be a nice deal that's easy to get into the classic, fish 2 and you're in. If they don't change that too. Again.

I'm sorry to see that the local 1 on 1's are on Tuesdays. I don't suppose that the fact that all the big sticks will be fishing MWTS has anything to do with that?
That was kinda a dismall post wasn't it? Sad

IDK. Who are the big sticks?

Last year only 7 or so boats fished the singles events I was at so maybe he's trying things a little different to draw more boats..? I'm not for sure Question I liked the Saturday Morning Singles tournaments too. Tuesday night tournaments will be almost imposible for me to fish because I'm restricted to one night a week and one saturday or sunday a week. Rolling Eyes

I'm for sure going to fish Thursday Night NBAA's with my wife so Tuesday nights are out of the question for me unless she has something to do.

Happy Holiday's

canvsbk your 100% right, BAU needs to get on the ball when it comes to their schedual, but the easy entry to the classic and chance to win a boat on a few hundred bucks makes it worth putting up with.

Another thing they mentioned was that they were planning on lowering the entry from $125 to $100 with the same classic payout to hopefully draw more boats.

If they drop to $100 I'll fish them for sure.

Don't mean to sound stupid, but what is BAU?

Bass Anglers United. They've been around a couple years, kind of appealing - fish 2 tourneys and you're in the pay to fish classic for a TR186. They just seem to shift gears a lot and don't always seem to want to cough up the right info at the right time.
I've always had a conflict when their classic was so I've never fished it. Maybe this year. They list only 2 divisions on their web site with both divisions being fished on Muskegon.

As far as the big sticks go - if you check out Michianaweeknighttournamentseries.com web site I'm sure you'll recognize plenty of names from either Tuesday or Thursday nights. Better yet, as I've said before, just show up. Both nights average over 30 boats.

I hope Santa delivers a Loomis to all!! Very Happy Very Happy

I stopped in at D@R today to check out their Patriot Rods since I had a $75 off certificate and a $25 gift card, and check out the boats. Johnathen Van Dam was there and I talked to him for awhile and mentioned BAU. He said BAU will have the same divisions as last year and will likley be adding 2 more. The guy running it is just behind schedual, whatever that means. So hopefully it will be posted soon. I did not like the Patriots, atleast I cant get away from the Loomis's even if I got $75 off. So I picked up the SMR753C-JB, cant wait to do some jerkin' with it, what a nice rod. Thanks Santa Laughing

canvsbk,

I would fish a couple of them if they were on Paw Paw or the Joe (BH) Laughing

and you know I love Diamond Lake Rolling Eyes

Eagle/Juno is the only possible lake I would fish on their schedule because everything else is almost 1 1/2-2 hours from my house. To far away for a weeknight tourney.

They are the best circuit around though with the strongest field of competition.

I want Santa to bring me a Shimano Cumara. I think that's how they spell it.

Yeah I had to move the One on Ones to Tuesday nights this year. I don't have any open times during the weekends because I am fishing some larger tournaments, Bassmaster and FLW Tours. The tournaments are also going to be concentrated more on the western portion of the area this year, I feel the schedule will offer the best fishing.

Every Cumara that I've seen has a set in it. They do have an in store replacement policy but if they break as often as the rest of their rods you'll be in the store more than fishing. Shocked
They do feel pretty good though.
