All,
This is a message that Chris has sent and I wanted to pass this around for all that have questions on the BAU for next year at least know the information that we have.

"To the respected anglers that I have had the privilege to fish with:
I would like to thank you all for fishing the BAU in 08'. I have had
several emails from people wanting to know what is going on with BAU in
09'. I have tried to get answers on what was going on and put this
together for the 09' season, unfortunately I have not been able to
reach anyone at the top of the BAU for over 2 months to give you any
type of answer or direction. I stood up in front of all of you at the
Championship and told you things would be different for 09'.
Unfortunately, not much has changed. My integrity means a lot to me and
at this time do to the lack of communication, I am stepping away from
the BAU. I would once again like to say "Thank You" to all of those who
helped with the BAU and fished the BAU. I hope to fish with you all
again soon. I do not have everyone's email from the BAU so please
forward this on to other BAU members if you wish."

Very wise choice. BAU is as good as over already. Even if they opened the doors again, very few of the old would stay, and even fewer of the new would show up to fish. I think besides the large circuits; BFL, Stren, Shoreline, BBT,; I think it will be a lot of small local stuff for fun. Not everyone is going to have the money to drive distances and fish against a few guys, knowing they won't be able to recover money like they did before. This crunch is going to hurt a lot of people. UNfortunately you won't have me to donate any money this year to your winnings Justin and John!!!!!!!
