I'm fishing another local tournament that Sunday to. It's hard to fit in tournament dates this late but I'd look at that Saturday and see what's going on. I'm not sure how many guys are going to pay 100 bucks to fish a tournament on Paw Paw and Magician, I bet the numbers will be really low, but we'll see what happens. Justin's tournaments are 100% payback and the best for your return in the area and hardly anyone shows up to fish them, hopefully with the river out there now more people will show for his. I'm doing the Muskegon closed Division because the numbers will be pretty good in those.

I'd be interested in fishing these. June 22nd would be good for me. I think the thing that'll help these draw people is that if you're in the top 40% you can fish a tournament for a boat. That's pretty substantial. I also like the fact that they have the date of the classic out already. I think this is important for some folks that have to set up there work schedule way in advance. What should we put on our Entry form for Division or just leave it blank? I want to send it in before the end of the month unless you can pull some strings and get the discount put off a little for us. I would not join BAU if it weren't for these tournaments so I wanna be sure it's gonna happen before I pony up and also there are a couple dates I couldn't make so I gotta be sure the dates are set. Thanks Rich.

Scott.

fishman, yes a division on paw paw and magician probably wont pull many boats although if guys are not interested because of the high entry for these local small lakes, they are not looking at the big picture. The 2 tournaments dont matter what matters is making the classic by finishing in the top 40% and having a chance at a $27,000 boat while investing only $350 as a team. Actually fishing locally cuts down on expenses to practice and the actual tournament like gas, food, lodging and all that so it should make more sense to anyone interested in BAU from southwest michigan or northern indiana. I think we all would spend alot of time practicing and likley make the cut, hopefully we can draw some guys in that would not be on there A game. Maybe my main man skeeterman can give me some tips for PAW PAW Wink Wink

I definitley agree with you on the fact that you should fish because of the low investment and little time invested, its a great deal if you manage to win. I hope they draw well, I'll fish them if I can. The 22nd though is the Muskegon circuit so there's another conflict lol It's just so hard because of all the tournaments, they keep the draws down for everyone. Just on Wednesday nights now I know of 3 circuits in the area my 3 tournaments, SMAC has some my grandpa and I are going to fish, and there's another one running where the CATT tournaments used to run.

It would be sweat if there was only one curcuit to fish. Back in the day I've been told that all weekend tourneys averaged 80-100 boats. And I know when I started fishing NBAA the weeknight numbers were around 25-30. Everyone wants a piece of the action Very Happy Very Happy

I'm pretty sure that I'm going to fish the local BAU tournaments if I can find a partner.

Updated info.

We are going to be Divison #8 and it is now on the website.
I am trying to lock down the date for the Magician Lake tournament I am leaning to (JUNE 14th) I need to get some commitments from you guys if your going to fish it on that day because I do not want to move it if your not going to fish it.
On the Paw Paw tournament, I am making sure that there is no issue with having a tourney during the holiday weekend. If it becomes a problem then I might move it to Pipestone to get away from the DNR ramp issue. Again if you guys have ideas lets here them.

We want to lock down this as quickly as possible.

Rich

June 15th would work for me and my partner. June 14th (grand river) is iffy we might still fish shoreline or atleast fish the first one on cadillac/mitchell and go from there, not sure yet on that.

Ok 1 for the 15th, I see no problem with that. I just checked with Dan K. and we are good with Paw Paw on opening weekend as we do not need a permit on the Watervliet Ramp.

Give me a call when you want to sign up and we'll get in early so we save some money. As close as they are the difference will make up for gas.

Now if we can only get rich to change magician lake to the St Joe River. It might bring more boats to the division? Laughing

Launching out of Watervliet???? Are you only hoping to pull like 5 boats or something??? I'm game, but the water traffic that weekend is going to be horrendous on Paw Paw. Always is on the holidays. The 15th sounds good also. Whatever you want to do, it's your division. I'm still in for the Muskegon division also. Got to set it in stone here fast, or you'll kill any chance you have of drawing those already booked up.
