Ok,

here is the deal we are going to be going out of Watervliet Launch the reason is that we do not need a permit for this location. What that means if you want to launch out of Coloma you can but you have to drive over to Watervliet for the actual start. May 25th will not be that bad as I have done tourneys before on Paw Paw on opening weekend and plus think of the good weights we could have during that tournament.

So I see we are all happy with the June 15th for the Magician Lake Tourney so that is what I am going to put in the system as of tonight. Let everyone know that wants to qualify for the BAU about it on Paw Paw and Magician Lake. I think that we should be able to drum up 15 or so boats and that will be well worth the price of gas you will save driving to Muskegeon (Prefishing, Room, Gas, etc..) remember they are only taking top 40% and you must fish 2 tournaments from the same division.

Thanks,
Rich

A few of us can always launch from Coloma and meet at the Watervaliet ramp to check in with Rich, then we would also have to weigh our fish in at the Watervliet Ramp. After the weigh in is over we could motor back to Coloma and trailer up.

That way if there are more than 12 boats or so there would stil be parking.

Justin

I will spread the word as much as possible and try to talk some guys into fishing it. Thanks for putting this together Rich and saving us some $$$, although we will likley be donating $200 to you bastages now!! Laughing

Hey Rich, how about ponying up some flyers and posting them around locally?? Post them at the local fishing shops, and give a few to guys that know others who fish. Maybe we can pull a few more boats that way, make it more of a challenge.

Yes, I will put something togather for flyers and see if we can promote it some and try to get a good draw I would love to see 15 boats out there. This is a realistic goal, We have this so far.

1. Rich and Jim
2. John Jr. & Justin
3. Tim C. & Harold

I am thinking we can get some of these.

1. Lieberg
2. Ohst & Poole
3. Nearpass & Davis

and I am sure that we will be able to get even more if you guys think of all the others that we know that might want to fish, even if they are from South Bend area it is easier for them to qualify here than go to

Division 5 St. Joe River (Mishawaka, IN), Maggie’s Landing – April 26th.
Coldwater Lake (Coldwater, MI) Lake Drive Marina, June 8th.

Division 6 Gull Lake – Launch TBD, June 14th. Gun Lake – Launch TBD, July 13th

I am moving the date to the 15th of June right now. it should show up on the website soon.

Rich

Rich,

Let me know your address so Jr and I can send you our membership/tourney entry fees.

Or should we send the money straight to BAU?

Thanks,

Justin

Justin,

Just send in your membership right to BAU, I talked to Jay today and we are all set for the season.

Just for everyone to know. Here is the way that it is now set up from my understanding, thier were some rule changes and they have been addressed. Please read all the rules for complete clarification this is just what I heard verbally, not offical until they are printed.

1. top 50% per division go to classic - 10 boats (top 5 qualify) 30 boats (top 15 qualify) that is after both tournaments not each one.
2. When weighing in a big fish that fish must be identified before given to scales (cull clip, seperate bag, handed seperate)

The updated changes will be available, but nothing really major.

I would like to see us get at least 15boats, as this will add to the payback and then 7boats will qualify for classic.
The classic location is still TBD but the dates are published.

Who is planning on fishing, with the gas prices at the $4. per gallon mark I think that it is a great thing to be able to qualify locally instead of having to drive all over, plus if you think about it Paw Paw and Magician are only 10 miles from each other.

We'll ( Tcook and I) will be there, so count us in. I am going to talk to a few more people and see if they would be interested, but don't count those chickens until they hatch.

Well that is 3 boats so far.

1. Jim and I
2. Justin and John Jr.
3. TCook & 1Jav

I would love to see at least 15 boats this first year as this will offer a good payback and allow multiple people to qualify for the classic for the boat.

Since we have no flyers to pass out, I have been trying to give word of mouth and referring people to the webpage. I mentioned something to C R Gooding, so him and Spears may show up also. Got a few more I am trying to get in contact with, but we'll see. Flyers would sure be nice!!

I will try to come up with something this weekend for you, and if you could help pass them out at fishing locations as well as on trucks at boat ramps.
