|
|
I talked to Rich last night and we were trying to think about a way more people from around the area could qualify for the classic. One idea we had was two more tournaments later this summer. I don't think a team can qualify in two divisions. So if there are enough people that want to fish Rich might be willing to hold two more tournaments later this summer. That means the Top 50% from his spring division will qualify, and a new 50% from his summer division will qualify.
If there is enough interest Rich might put on two more tournaments. It would be a great classic if everyone from around here could qualify.
This is just an idea, let us know what you think.

Ok, here is the deal.
I talked to Jay tonight and he is allowing another 2 tournaments that Jim and I will be running. The lakes that we have chose are
1. Pipestone Lake
2. Paw Paw
The Pipestone Lake will be in the end of June and the Paw Paw will be in August.
Dates will be soon to follow. Jim is out of town this weekend at the Triton Owners Tournament, I talked to him tonight and he wants to check his schedule and then get them scheduled to allow other anglers the opportunity to fish. This will be good for those who missed out of the 1st tournament and still want to get involved and also if your not in the top % this will allow you to still compete in a local division and if anglers qualify in more than one division then this will open up some more spots. |

Lets start making a list of weekend dates that will allow most everyone to fish.

You'll never get 10 boats around here on those lakes, with that entry fee. I may have to quit fishing all the local events and stick with the big ones at this rate. The payout doesn't even cover gas, let alone the entry fee, time on the water, baits, oil. Not saying it's going to or all I am fishing for is money, but if you have a good day and can't even pay the bills????

Well I did the point run up on the last tournment and its basically anybodys ball game as you can be in last place and still make the cut as points are based off of this
100 pts for 1st
90 pts for 2nd
80 pts for 3rd
etc...... on down to 7th
10 points for showing up
5 points for each fish weighed in.
(big fish break ties on point position)
So I do not know where else you can pay $250 and have the opportunity to fish for a boat. |
