This is the new southwest michigan CATT division. Does anyone plan to fish this division? Does anyone know what stretch of the St. Joe River they will be fishing?

I might fish a couple depending on what stretch of the "Joe" they are fishing.

Thanks,

Justin

Tcook,

I have no idea. I haven't been out there since June 3.

Sorry,

Justin

went anyways, not knowing if they sprayed or not, and they did. We fished anyways, not paying to fish but just for fun alongside the tourney guys, and kind of wish we would have paid. Winning weight was 5.7 . We had 6 1/2 with 3 fish. Still would have lost money though, with membership fees would have been 75 apiece, would have won probably 55 or 60 apiece, but we would've won. Made a few friendships a little stronger though, so it was worth it still. Smile

Must not have been many boats there for 1st to be $110 - $120 at 90% payback.

My division had only 5 boats and we paid out $123 FOR 1st. Which would have been $61.50 each in return. If had to pay membership and entry fees with us would have been $51 each....so you would have made $10.50.

I guess I will never understand why they have to charge so much for membership? Can anyone tell me that? I would join CATT if it was only $25 - $30 to sign up, and you don't have to pay an entry fee for their championship. That is why I also don't fish the Midwest Sportsman trail. To high of a membership and you have to pay to fish their classic.

FLW is $25 and you don't have to pay to fish the Regional, All American or any of their Champioships. Bass has events that the pro's don't pay for..the Classic being one of them.

If someone has any contact info for Midwest and CATT, please call them and ask them if they would like to see their memberships grow in numbers? Lower the membership fees and don't charge to fish the championships.

I think that a 90% payback is awesome...get $$$ sponsors and all of what I would like to see could happen, if done right and with the right person running it.

I would still be fishing the Wednesday night division if the membership wasn't so much. Lowering the membership fee would be step in the right direction for the CATT.

I agree, my work schedule won't let me fish any week night series consistently this year but I got the NBAA family membership and although I haven't made it to any yet, I will before the year is over. The NBAA family membership is a great idea because for a relatively low cost my boys are members and I can bring them with to a tournament here or there when I can. I would have fished the Paw Paw CATT tournament but I'd have to spend $110 before I paid my entry fee.
