Question Can you drop shot on Lake Michigan? I know it's done frequently on Lake St. Clair.

Yes, just not in drowned river mouths like muskegon lake. It is considered a trout snagging rig.

In muskegon you can still put a tube or a jig & pig on the bottom in place of the sinker and still be legal I believe.
