I was able to get on the ice for a couple hours on Monday. I fished a farm pond that had 6 in of ice on it. I caught 25 gills and ten of those gills were 10 inches long. I caught all of my fish with wax worms.
I love farm ponds! It takes the work out of fishing:)

I dont trust my favorite farm pond for ice fishing. It doesnt freeze good, has way too many weak spots from springs, and stuff, i dont know, but its usually bad ice. How do you think the ice is on lakes like round, dewey, etc. Does it freeze any good with the snow on top?

Since we are in the middle of one of the coldest februarys ever recorded I believe every inland lake is frozen. The best/safest lakes for ice fishing are the channels on Paw Paw Lake, Van Auken Lake, and Dayton Lake.
Also, Lake Michigan is frozen as far as the eye can see!! But don't try to fish it.
