Well, I have never doubted anything in fishing but I will say this that you can get in the 25 range in Paw Paw but I would be hard pressed to find 30 and I know a lot of the spawn haunts and most of my fish are in the 4-5 range with every now and then a 6 lurking around. Finding 5 6lbers wow that has me impressed because I have never seen it before. I see that Justing chimed in with 24 and that is what I would call about the average in the spring if you have found them but now add a tournament to that and try to get all of those 5lbs ers and I do not know you catch 5 of them. The best that I have ever done on Paw Paw in a tourney was 5 that weighed 18.4 and 8 fish limit that went 29. In prefishing my best 5 would be 23lbs

yeah about the same here. I've caught some giant prespawn fish on jerkbaits but getting 5 of them seems crazy. A lot of the fish up there that I would swear should have been 6 pounds have always weighed about 4-4.5 on the scale. The biggest I've ever caught on Paw Paw was about 7 on jerkbait when I was 16 in 10 feet of water.

I used it on Kerr Lake and caught a bunch of 14 inch fish off a couple points. I would cast it out and let it settle on the bottom. I would twitch it gently and a bass would pick it up. The bass were eating the "Inch Worm" to their stomachs. Rich was calling it the cheating bait. Laughing
