are you talking about gun/gull lakes in mason county? My buddy has a cabin on thunder lake, practically across the street from gull. The fishing on thunder lake is tremendous. Its a private lake, and it gets almost zero fishing pressure. On spinnerbaits we will catch 20-30 pike a day (apiece) and the bass are a little tougher, but you usually get a 5+ fish on any productive outing, and almost garunteed a 4 lb. fish if you know what you are doing. I love it!

Never looked to see what counties that Gun/Gull are in they are the only ones over 2500 arces. Gull is Northeast of Kazoo in Richland, MI and Gun is actually North of Kazoo.
