Plan on hitting the Joe on Friday for a few hours to look for some fish, then want to do some walleye fishing for a few with my uncle. I've never really walleye fished before, except a little as a kid dragging worms. Anyone have some ideas on where the fishing is on at and what I should be using? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Justin should PM me some good info!!!!!

Jav1,
I'm sorry to say I've never fished this time of year for Walleye in BH. I see guys drifting the main river channel for eyes all the time. They start around riverview park and drift to Eagle Point.
I've always fished out of Jasper Dairy to catch walleye. It's pretty far up river and a dangerous run. I also fish by the dam in Berrien for eyes this time of year.
The only time I can catch eyes is when their spawning Otherwise I suck!!!
Sorry,
Justin |

I'm not sure how there doing now and I haven't had much luck but like Justin said start around the park and drift down under the bridge towards the marina. A lot of people string on a couple beads (orange, pink, green ???) and tie on a single hook with a crawler. There are also crawler harnesses with a blade that are supposed to work good. I am going to use one of these up north of Muskegon this weekend trying to get some walleye. I've heard you want to make the crawler seem natural on the hook (not all bunched up) b/c they can be picky?
