Anyone have any tips on finding and catching jumbo Perch through the ice? I usually switch over from panfish to perch around late January early Feb. I know of a few lakes that have them but I can never seem to really get into a good mess of them.

If you want to drive to St. Clair, the Metro Channels are full of perch this time of year. I don't have a clue where you could catch a mess of them around here. Diamond Lake would be your best bet I think.

I've fishing Diamond several times between the island and the boat launch. When they come through you can watch them through the hole. You may get 2-3-4 and then they are gone, and you have to wait another hour or so before another school runs through.
