Alright Justin, me and Jav have made a few trips out to lake michigan from the St. Joe river trying to locate some smallies with no luck. I found a few areas that looked ideal that were empty. I assumed that the water temp was still to low (57 degrees) to have any chance at getting any, but made a mental note of these spots.
You say that you got on some a few days ago coming out of Brians marina in your report. I am assuming that is South of St Joe. Since Lake Michigan is so vast I dont even know where to begin and mostly sand bottom. I know how you feel about giving out information, but could you tell me what to look for near St Joe Benton Harbor area? Are there any areas offshore with rocks or wood? Where could I find rock 10-20 feet offshore out there its all sand. It would be nice if you could atleast give me a general area to search and then I could drop my aqua vu down there.

Tcook,
It took me many hours on the water to find the smallies in the big lake so I protect protect those spots with my life. If you keep going out with your Aqua View you'll stumble onto something. The smallies will school up by the hundreds if you find a good spot.
Keep looking, it's a lot of work
