Try making the distance between your sinker and your bait greater. I have been getting more bites latly with an 18 inch gap. I think they like this better because the bass are keying in on baitfish more that crayfish right now.

Try it...

Dumb Question Very Happy

What's the best way to rig up a drop-shot.
I have never done it before, I understand the weight is below the hook but how do you tie it up? What type of hook and bait? What type of sinker and how big?

Thanks for any info,
Jon

Tie a small #2 gami dropshot hook and leave 2 feet of line below. Make sure the hook stands straight with the barb part up when you tighten your line. Then take your dropshot weight and clip it on the line to your desired distance from the hook. The point of this is you can quickly adjust the distance to figure out what the bass want without retying. You want to use whatever size that will keep the weight on the bottom at all times which is decided on the wind and depth you are fishing. USE TUNGSTEN

Try this technique out on the Great Lakes in about 40-50 feet of water, FIRE!!! Even Edwin Evers nailed em with it. The water is so clear and there are so many gobies any more the bass load up around them. Gobies don't really leave the bottom so this technique is awesome! Try the new Poor Boys Swimbait Goby

Jackall Released a new worm designed for Drop Shotting (Cross Tail Shad) It was used and called a "Crazy Ninja Worm" by Kota Kariyami in the Elite Series on Erie he ended in 2nd. We will have them in D&R sports, Lunkers and Michigan Specialty Tackle in Battle Creek. If any have trouble getting them to try out let me know and I will see what I can do. That also goes for the new Flick Shake

Thanks,

Rich

were always open to new deals on dropshotting. obviously if we dont fish(erie,st,clair or inland lakes) this deal is not 100% guarenteed. Us westsiders are @ loss. I would recomend the extreme bass tackle 2 1/2 tube its gonna be money. It will also make a great fineese bait.(1/16oz) spawners wont know whats up..-skeeterman-
