I took my boat out of storage this weekend to get it ready for the water. I washed and waxed it then put all of my equipment into it. My motor started the second time I turned it over thank goodness . I noticed the river was opened when I went shopping with my wife so I was looking forward to putting in the water. When I got to the River Park ramp there was still 1 ft of snow on it. Brians and the BH DNR ramp were the same way.
Instead of running my boat I fished from shore for a little while. Iwas throwing a blade bait trying to catch a walleye before the season closes on March 15. I had a couple hits and faught a fish for a little while but it came of. The only fish I landed was a fat, ugly carp.
Oh well, hopefully I can get down to the BS Dam for a little night fishing before the season closes.

I just throw them out as far as I can then use a yo-yo technique to retrieve them. I let it fall to the bottom then snap it off the ground. It's really easy and a great way to catch every species of fish.
