How often do you find yourself power fishing with spinnerbaits, crankbaits, heavy jigs and soft plastics, as opposed to finnesse fishing with light plastics and jigs or other lures? I have tried it but i always go back to my plastics and 1/8th oz jigs. I dont have confidence in it like i know i should. Which style do you prefer?

The main time I power fish is in the spring and the fall. There are time that I do power fish in the summer and I am doing it around docks. During the summer the bass love to go under these docks and you have to find the ones that hold the fish. The best way to do this is to cover as many docks as you can. I will put the trolling motor on high and throw a tube cause the tube falls fast and you can cover more docks that way.

I power fish after a cold front passes. I want to cover a lot of water after a cold front and look for reaction strikes rather than feeding strikes. I also power fish on new bodies of water that I'm not up to speed on. I love power fishing Laughing Laughing

bronzeback made a good point for power fishing after cold fronts but i like to let the fish tell me what i need to do. me myself my style is a powerfisherman and i like to cover lots of water but if im getting no bites or strikes powerfishing i will either slow down my retreives or change to soft plastics and fish around the heavy weeds

I typically use either cranks or tubes for searching new water, I fish a tube rather quickly and cover tons of water as the water warms I might move to docks but I keep the same stragety and fish very quickly.
