looks like most of the lakes are oppening up, hopefully this section is on hold for 10 months. How open are a lot of the lakes in the area, are any fishable? Ill be checking them out in the sister lakes area tomorrow(pipestone lake, magician, dewey, and round lake)

a bunch of the lakes around me, and some local favorites of mine are mostly open in almost the entire lake EXCLUDING the boat launch. That would include pipestone lake, black lake, and madron lake. By the way, if i was to get out right after ice out, would it be legal enough to fish for bass?

Nope, The catch and Immediate release season starts the last weekend in April. You better go fishing for crappie or steelhead in the river.

i was thinking of hitting up magician or dewey lake for gills, perch, and crappie this weekend. Do you know if it is unfrozen? I would imagine it is.
