I just found this forum, and am looking forward to my responses to my posts. Anyways, i was shorefishing the st. joe river a few weeks ago, and hooked into a few walleyes. I took my friend down and he caught the only keeper of the day, a 5 lber. Thought that was pretty good. Anyways, the next day, we went back to the same spot. First cast, i had a hit. Felt good. But i was surprised to see the size of this fish. It was a 10 pound walleye! It measured 29 inches with a massive gut. I had no accurate weight, but am very confident in the 10 lb. mark. I also caught a 6lb. fish later in the day, and managed a bunch of steelies throught the week._________________ rock hard, fish harder

Nice Job! A ten lb walleye is a fish to be proud of:)
The St. Joe and other rivers in Berrien County are full of monster walleye. My biggest went 15 lbs and was 35 inches long. The spring is when the true giants start to eat.
