My wife and I are going to North Carolina March 31-April 5 to fish Pre Spawn Kerr/Buggs Island Largies and vist Rich Charleston. This is a huge body of water but I've heard nothing but great things about it. I was told to expect 30-50 fish days this time of year with bass 3-8 pounds. From what I've read its the best lake in NC for bass in the 4 pound range. It should be a great time as long as the weather is right.

Has anyone fished Buggs Island before?

Is anyone going south to fish this spring?

Justin

Justin,

I fished Kerr back about 10 years ago and it was in October and the fish were relating to the back of the creek channels from everyone that I have ever talked to on the lake most of the fish some how relate to the creek channels (points, mainlake, middle arms, back etc..) Hope that has been some insight and I know when we caught them it was on crank baits.

Rich

We fished for a couple hours today. It was rainy and cold, the water temp was 54 degrees. We caught 5 in 2 hours on secondary points. nothing to big. I caught 3 on a Flick Shake Very Happy and Rich caught 2 on a trap.
