Just wanted to let guys know that I went out this weekend on both Indian and Magician lakes and found the mother load of fish all shallow, we found hundreds upon hundreds of fish in an area the size of a house and they were all species and all sizes, they would not bite unless the wind was on them. If that was the case you could catch them on anything you used, crankbaits, jerkbaits, buddies, flick shakes, drop shots, darters, tubes, you name it.

I happen to be working on a house on indian lake and brought my jerkbait rod to work with me today. So I went down to the end of a dock and threw it out for 15 minutes to take a break. I cought a 4 pounder that slammed my pointer and had the entire bait deep in her mouth. That tells me that they be biting good, real good.

I might have to try Indian instead of Magician this year for the opener. Although I like catching a limit of walleye along with a couple bass. I think I'll still go to Magician Very Happy Saturday can't come soon enough.

one other thing: does anyone know what the local water temps are like up there right now? I know ice-out was a little bit later this year so i figure the water is still kinda cold.

I found water in Magician lake hitting about 56° and at one point we found 57°. Justin, lets run down to Klinger as I know that they are biting good there from what a little bird told me. With this warm days and wind I am thinking we are close to hitting 60° mark this rain should bring the water temp up as long as the day is above 60°

Rich
