| Hit a couple lakes in Van Buren county yesterday with a buddy of mine looking for some Crappies for the freezer. The first lake we got about a dozen in the first 3 hours, but decided it just was not happening so we pulled out and went to another lake close by. Fished about 4 more hours there and had both of our limits of really nice Crappies. Heard similar reports of Berrien county lakes. So if you are looking to put a few in the freezer, it's on.... Minnows didn't produce much, 1 1/2" tubes swam above and around shallow cover were the ticket...
