Just wanted to remind everyone that the NBAA 1 on 1 tournaments kick of this next wednesday from 6-9 on the St. Joe River in Buchanan. Entry fee is $40 and you must be an NBAA member. It's a great opportunity to fish in a pro style event with only 1 angler per boat.

I might be there but I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it or not.
Hopefully it works out.

You can sign up at the ramp and its the Buchanan City Ramp. To get there you turn at the bottom of the hill when you go through Buchanan from Niles and the launch is down a dirt road on the first curve once you get out of town.

How many boats are you expecting for this? Have you been on that stretch of the river this year and are there any new navigational hazards like trees, houses, cars and such?

I only fished that stretch once, and I think we launched out of that launch. That was last year though. Don't know if I will be coming or not, probably not though.

I'm not sure on the number of boats but I'm hoping 10-20. I've had a lot of calls. The river is pretty good on that stretch it's deep and I'd say it's the best for running.

Well we ran into trouble and had to modify the tournament or we only would have had 2 boats fish so the points from Magician and Lake of the Woods will be set for the classic. However, we still did fish with 6 boats all putting 20 bucks a piece in and I won with 1 bass, it was a tough tough bite!!!
