What is the best way to catch spring crappies in southwest Michigan? What is the best lake in southwest Michigan?

I would love to get on some crappie so your help will be greatly appreciated.

Last spring I caught some pretty big crappies on Big Fish/Saddlebag lake. I was just using a slip bobber and night crawlers. I also heard about some 1lb. bluegills out there as well.

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to give fish/saddleberg a try.

as far as techniques go, you just can't beat a minnow and bobber combo. Just make sure that you keep adjusting the depth if you aren't catching fish.
