| I just found this forum, and am looking forward to my responses to my posts. Anyways, i was shorefishing the st. joe river a few weeks ago, and hooked into a few walleyes. I took my friend down and he caught the only keeper of the day, a 5 lber. Thought that was pretty good. Anyways, the next day, we went back to the same spot. First cast, i had a hit. Felt good. But i was surprised to see the size of this fish. It was a 10 pound walleye! It measured 29 inches with a massive gut. I had no accurate weight, but am very confident in the 10 lb. mark. I also caught a 6lb. fish later in the day, and managed a bunch of steelies throught the week.

Nice Job! A ten lb walleye is a fish to be proud of:)
The St. Joe and other rivers in Berrien County are full of monster walleye. My biggest went 15 lbs and was 35 inches long. The spring is when the true giants start to eat.

| I know there are tons of monsters, but cant get back to my favorite and by far most productive stretch of the river until the snow melts. The $#*@ road commision piles all of the snow in front of the road that goes to the river. It makes no sense there is a paved road going to the river from the main road, and they put a 10 foot pile of snow in front. I am thinking about digging it out a little and busting through it with my jeep, but the berrien springs cops can be a little edgy.

What did you catch your big one with? I caught my biggest on a black stone fly.

| I caught all of the fish that day on a #8 black/silver husky jerk.
