Have any of you fished this lake in the past or could you tell me anything at all about it?
Thank you

The last time I fished Dewey was 10 years ago. Its a little tough to launch a bigger boat there now. I remember catching a bunch of small bass but nothing huge.

Dewey is pretty much a numbers lake, but it is mostly fished for its great panfish supply

Could you say what kind of depth and water clarity and if there are pike and walleye in the lake?
Then again, if it is a good panfish lake, I would imagine it as being shallow, weedy and fertile.

It's a clear lake but I don't think there is a strong walleye population although there are pike. I don't think it gets deeper than 40 ft but I'm not for sure.

I have a cottage on Magician. Dewey H2O is very low. Never had much luck there. Big crooked and Round are a better bet. I am aso convinced that there are no fish in Magician worth catching.

Wait, no fish in magician worth catching? That is my favorite lake, and i have pulled smallies up to 5 lbs out of there, and have heard of largemouths over 7lbs getting caught. There are giant pike and panfish there too

I'm very familiar with the sister lakes area. First, of all there are plenty of fish worth catching in Magician. The lake has all types of fish and alot of big fish in big numbers. Second, about Dewey lake, the lake does not get anywhere near 40 feet deep. Its a very shallow lake, and the water levels have been very low for the last few years. Also, the lake has an unmbelieveable amount of weeds in it. There are some big bass in the lake, and also a lot of small ones. I have never seen or heard of walleye in the lake. The lake does have a very healthy panfish poplulation which leads to big bass.
