DON’T MISS YOUR SHOT AT WINNING THREE NITRO BOATS -

Ohio River – The Bite is ON!

With the upcoming National Championship on the Ohio River just a couple of weeks away the reports are coming in that the fishing is really picking up. At a recent event out of Point Park, the site for this year’s NBAA National Championship the expectations were high and the anglers along with the fish did not disappoint. With a 2 day total of nearly 23 lbs to take top honors and nearly 18 lbs to break into the top 10, the bite is on and should only get better.
If you haven’t registered for the upcoming championship on the Ohio River you still have plenty of time to do so. If you’re not sure if you’ve qualified and would like to come to this year’s championship just e-mail Jack Horning at jackhorning@sbcglobal.net and he’ll help you out with any questions you may have. The city of Carrollton is really stepping up for NBAA anglers and has many special events planned. This is shaping up once again to be another great NBAA Championship!

How did it go? Who won? How many boats?

I had to cancel my trip down there because I couldn't get off work for 3 days Sad

3 boats were given away....those are posted on the web page. For me...it sucked...lol. but I did have fun and learned a lot about river systems.

Fished near a gazebo(sp?) one day and then I only had 6 inches between water and the roof of it on another day. The river rose over 8ft while we were there. I fished in a corn field....first time for that in my life...hope to never do again....lol. On thursday we had 2 fish for 4.23lbs...finished 33rd. Winning weight was over 17lbs. 23 limits, with over 60 boats. On friday we only had 86 boats and 19 teams came in with fish. What a difference 8ft of water can make, eh?

Oh my goodness it sounds like it was a real challenge. Its hard to believe the river rose 8 ft in one night Shocked

Was there a lot of junk floating in the water?
