I started at 9:00 am and fished until 12:00. It was only 55 degrees and the water temp dropped to 73. There are still bass spawning here and there in the channels but most are guarding fry. I didn't mess with them though. Instead I fished for post spawner that were situated around weed clumps in 20-25 ft. Jav1 the post spawn funk is over because they were hungry. I landed 15 keepers and the best five went 17 pounds. My biggest was a toad over 5 pounds.

Nice to hear that. I almost bought some DD cranks today at BPS for the Master Caster tourney out there Sunday, but decided against it. Bought some swimbaits instead, so we'll see how it goes down. I've never fished a swimbait before, and really don't have a heavy enough rod to throw the on, but I will make due. I have a few plans on what needs to be done, so we'll see.

Can anyone fish the Master Caster tounament or is it closed?
What time does it start? and how much is the entry?

It's open, starts at 6 until 12, from the west ramp (coloma or Watervliet???), and I think it's like 20-40 dollars to enter. Not a big tourney or a good payout, but it's fun. We won the 2-day last year on Paw Paw so we kind of need to defend the title, even though this is 1 day. I think I spent more in tackle, gas, and entry last year than we won, but it was fun.
