Hit the water early yesterday, launched at the same time as Justin. Started throwing some jerkbaits and caught 1 2.5 all day on it. Just not hitting the jerkbait. Did end up catching a few on beds, bigger ones came in front of the bed on the deeper side, but no doubt they are spawning on Paw Paw right now. Found spawners on the main lake all over the place as well, how much fun was that!! No pigs today, but best 5 would have went somewhere around 18 pounds.

| Saw 1Jav on Paw Paw today and found the fish spawning good in the lake and channels, I was fishing for a 3-4lb fish on a bed and ending up catching a 7lb that was on there also. my top 5 were close to 22lbs. Also the Ill. lake owners are out and about and making sure you do not fish thier docks,......so here is the dock to fish if you launch at Coloma and go down the main channel there is a nice 2 story house about half way down on the left side of the channel going out to the lake. It has a white and blue cruiser on a boat lift and it looks like the dock will have a pontoon and jet skis on there sometime before summer. Please go and fish this guys dock just to let him know that he does not have the right to stop you from fishing it. This guy is a real piece of work I will get a photo of the dock and post it, also I was able to catch a 2lb off his dock. |

Didn't mention that I saw Rich out there, also saw Randy Van Dam in a gray and yellow 21x2 skipping docks. That guy can cast now, when his jig skips from the boat to 40 feet out and under a dock on casting gear, hitting the water atleast 10 times, that man knows what he is doing. Now I know what I have to practice.

I'll have my report on my website with some pics but I'll let you know that I caught 21 pounds of smallies I really didn't know where they spawned before today but I found them. I landed 17 smallies that went, 5 lb 5 oz, 4 lb 6 oz, 4 lb, 4 lb, and 3 lb 8 oz. These were the hardest fighting smallies I've ever hooked
I also caught a couple huge crusing largeheads. One was 5 pounds 8 ounces. I caught her with a flick shake. She acctually stole my worm twice before I hooked her the third time.
My best five bass weighed around 23 pounds. I can't post some of my smallie pics because my GPS was in the backgound. It would be really easy to see where I was at
