paw paw lake info

I have a club tourney on sept. 15 and have never seem the lake. I can't make it to prefish so I was hoping for some basics. thanks

Paw Paw Lake fishes a lot like Muskegon Lake. Its a deep weedy lake with a lot of docks and a network of channels. All of the points on Paw Paw are good spots at different times. I like throwing cranks, tubes, and jigs around them. If you can find a drop off that is mostly sand then you found a potential gold mind. You can also catch nice largemouth just fishing the channels with a blue and black jig.

The best way to catch big bass on Paw Paw is by fishing docks. Most of the time the docks are loaded with bass.

The smallies on Paw Paw are not dependable at all. You can catch them along the long under water points that extnd into the lake. The key to catching smallies is locating the bait.
