Try using a jigging spoon or bladebait in the mouth of the Paw Paw River where it emptys into the Joe. The Kings will rip the rod out of your hand. They are loaded there just waiting to make their fall run.

| We ended up going south from the I-94 ramp. Caught one 15# male and lost another. Only seen a couple fish caught.

| I've seen many staging kings jumping here in the fall...but i have a question about those old wood pilings along the shore there. Do they hold bass or anything else? This spot looks interesting

I've caught a few dinks(bass) there in the past and whacked a 32" Northern there as well. Never had much luck with them, maybe just not fishing it right or giving it a thorough look.

| Wood pilings there are bad, bad, bad...unless you like losing lures lol If you have not been there this spring the river is horrid! It has changed so so much it is not even funny. The dredging is pretty much gone and it used to be 30 feet in a couple places in front of that mouth, now it is 12-13 crazy! |

| There isn't any current in the pilings therefor no SMALLMOUTH. I have caught a couple largemouth bass though with a jig. |
