We had a good time fishing NBAA this year but I think were switching to Midwest Tour next year with 90% payback. We never knew any payouts from our league this year and think the payout is closer to 70% or less.I do like NBAA's website lots but don;t understand why NBAA makes so much money themselves off the tournies. Most all our league night we had 15 to 17 boats and payouts for top 3 places totaled was350.00 and at 42.00 dollars a boat this figures out at a pretty low percentage payout.I think the directors of the league should fish free but not take a big chunk out of our prize fund and thats why my partner was to try something else and the 115.00 for weekends is a pretty steep entry too.Just my 2 cents and I like all the other aspects of NBAA.

Sorry to hear you go. Hope this helps you understand the payout better.

OK here is a payout schedul for NBAA weeknight: Entry fee - $42

1boat - $25, $4 - big bass, $3 to dir, $10 to NBAA, which goes to - $2 to div championship, $1 to super big bass draw, $7 to NBAA for classic(that no one pays for) and overhead expenses.
2boats - $49, $8 - big bass, $6 to dir, $21 to NBAA, you can do the break down.
3boats - $74, $12 - big bass, $9 to dir, $31 to NBAA
4boats - $98, $16 - big bass, $12 to dir, $42 to NBAA
5boats - $123, $20 - big bass, $15 to dir, $52 to NBAA
6boats - $88 - 1st, $59 - 2nd, $24 - big bass, $18 to dir, $63 to NBAA
7boats - $103 - 1st, $69 - 2nd, $28 - big bass, $21 to dir, $73 to NBAA
8boats - $118 - 1st, $78 - 2nd, $32 - big bass, $24 to dir, $84 to NBAA
9boats - $133 - 1st, $88 - 2nd, $36 - big bass, $27 to dir, $94 to NBAA
10boats - $147 - 1st, $98 - 2nd, $40 - big bass, $30 to dir, and $105 to NBAA
11 boats - $135 - 1st, $81 - 2nd, $54 - 3rd, $44 - big bass, $33 to dir, $115 to NBAA

As you can see we pay the next spot down AFTER the 5 mark.

Yes the directors fish for free and we get paid $3 per boat to run the division. We also will charge the extra boat ramp fee and pay it all for the teams so they don't have to play around with the guy wanting the money. The permits, we charge per boat if that is how it is done, like on an Indiana lake $4 per boat. The other Michigan permits we charge an extra $2 per boat. If we get the $25 great if not...that is ok too...comes out of our money in the begining anyways. This year we did not have to do that...no lakes needed a permit....just permission.

We fish 13 weeks with a divisional championship. With the extra $2 per boat, per week that we get back to put toward that event. We(our division) still charges $42 entry. 100% paid back.

We had 9 boats...REMEMBER this #...lol
$2 per boat went to JUNK FISH - $18
$5 per boat went to BIG BASS - $45
$35 per boat + $212 got paid out as follows:

1st - $218
2nd - $163
3rd - $110
4th - $54

4 spots....9 BOATS

For all your time Cobra explaining it all to me and everyone else.I liked your classic payouts as they were alot beeter then ours.I know directors have to make some money but fishing for free and being able to win money in all events should be enough. Most of these would fish in them anyway and its not much work at the site to see these directors making 100.00 just being in charge of 3 hour tournies. The website though is the best and hopefully NBAA will look at payouts at the ramp and also cut back weekend tourney fees. Thanks for everything and hope to fish again one day with NBAA with some changes.
