I've seen a couple boats drifting crawlers on the joe but thats all.

Friday night our friends were drifting crawlers with a couple red beads tied on and caught 24 with 9 keepers. We tried that Saturday and caught 2 with 1 keeper. We caugth a couple smallies on crawlers but that was it.

I've not been out in awhile Crying or Very sad but I hear they are still hitting a crawler with a couple beads. I think the best time is just before dark and even into the night. Walleye are sensitive to light and don't like a lot of boat traffic so i've heard.

Good luck,

Jon

Thanks John!

yea that's my plan...the ol' crawler with beads has always done best for me! i was out on the Joe this past weekend and MY GOD was the boat traffic out of control! i did see a few wallyeye fisherman but none of them seemed to be doing very well. most were catching small ones or catfish (i thinbk the drift may have been a little slow, plus all the boat traffic (like you said) dosn't help the cause very much!
