Tim took 8th on the BFL out of the Detroit River yesterday, moving him up to third in standings on the year. From what I heard he didn't even have that great of a draw, he just grinded it out. His boater only weighed in 3 fish. I'll let him tell it how it is. Greta Job Tim!!

Ya it was a good day, I was paired up with Ed Moravic from Indiana. He decided to fish erie with the calm and sunny forecast. We fished 25-30 miles down on the canadian shoreline. Once we hit Colchester during the morning run it was a wall of fog so it took longer than it should have. His starting spot was right next to Steve Clapper. We spent an hour there and I landed two 2.5's and Ed got one about the same size. I also missed a couple small ones that would not have made my bag when it was all said and done. I got the 4 bites watching his lowrance and dropping my bait on there heads. He ran to some other areas and we didnt get bit until 1:30PM. The wind picked up to about 5-10mph at this time and they seemed more willing to bite. I spent all day trying to find out how to get the smallies to bite changing baits, weights, line size, and how to work my dropshot while my boater threw a green tube all day long. I finally dialed in with 1.5 hours to go and got 4 bites in a couple different areas. I cought a 3.5 and a 4 in one spot and at the end of the day cought another 2.5 that I spotted on his depthfinder again to fill out my limit and Ed got his third. Then on the last cast of the tournament a 4.5 took my dropshot on the fall, and after a 3 minute nerveracking fight I culled and we headed in.
It felt good to get some revenge on erie after missing two 4's during the sandusky tournament that would have put me in the top 3. My bag went 16-10 good for 8th, and sitting 3rd overall with one more tournament to go on the Detroit river again. Hopefully I can get a decent draw and make up the 35 points since its a two day event worth 300 instead of 200 points.
